This year's hot new fashion line has finally come to SSU-Tenacious Clothing. Freshman, Stephen Conrad created Tenacious clothing for people who want to rock their style with comfort and pride.
"We decided to name it 'Tenacious' because when we build a t-shirt we not only incorporate ink, a blank tee, a tag and a design, but we incorporate our lifestyle," said Conrad. "We pour our sweat and tears into every style and piece."
Students who buy pieces of their apparel should expect nothing but high quality items.
As the founder of the company, Conrad has worked his way up with the knowledge and inspiration of others-especially his father. Because he is only a freshman, Conrad's funds aren't the most plentiful and is very lucky that his father helped start the company and create the line's first three shirts.
Conrad is anxious to look for others with the same vision to help build the empire and change the industry.
"I really want to spread the Tenacious word and motivate people to think outside the ordinary," he said.
Conrad is aiming his clothing line to appeal more to the teenage crowd. He is starting out with men's clothes that are commonly considered "unisex." He eventually plans to create a women's line after he has produced more men's tees.
An ideal t-shirt design that can be found at Tenacious clothing is one that catches people's attention and that will leave them scratching their heads trying to figure out what the design means.
"If you look at all of the designs I have so far they all catch your eye" said Conrad.
Tenacious clothing also offers affordable prices for everyone. All t-shirts are no more than $20. One of Conrad's goals is to emulate Ken Block, founder of DC clothing. Conrad is in close contact with some skate/surf and hip hop clothing stores in California and will hopefully soon be featured in their stores.
"The ultimate goal of Tenacious is to make comfortable clothes that people are happy to buy and love to wear," he said.
