Do you ever wake up from a dream and ask yourself, "What the hell did that mean?"

Well, now you can have all your questions answered when dream interpreter Greg Hoeflicker comes to Sonoma State.

Hoeflicker began to study dreams years ago when he had a recurring dream that he was supposed to be executed the following day.

He began to worry about what this meant for himself and his future.

Afraid that it might mean death in his near future, Hoeflicker took it upon himself to learn exactly what this dream meant.

Just a few weeks later, after having the same dream twice, he met someone who was able to help him and taught him the simple rule that "dreams are about the dreamer."

The man also taught him that death in a dream does not mean death in waking life, but instead change.

Hoeflicker then took this information and applied it to what was going on and learned that most of the symbols in his dreams were reflecting what was happening to him in his real life.

After much learning and researching Hoeflicker had found his new calling.

He studied for 12 years, learing and gaining better understanding of dreams and has been touring the United States giving speeches since 1995.

Everyone has dreams that leave them confused and scared when they wake up.

No matter how hard you concentrate or think about your dream, you just don't know what it means: whether you are missing teeth, drowning, can't run, or time just stands still, there are answers for all of these things.

The evening with Hoeflicker will revolve around interpreting dreams, the cause of nightmares and how to get rid of those horrid dreams we never want to relive.

Hoeflicker also has a technique of using dreams to "learn faster and get better grades in college," that he will be sharing with the audience.

The evening event will also include Hoeflicker asking the audience for their participation and involvement.

Dreams are messages from our subconscious mind and inner self and come in forms or symbols and words.

Some say that the symbols our dreams send us are like another language used to communicate to ourselves.

Certain symbols stand for certain things, which in some cases can be good or bad.

Dreams are a part of every day life. We cannot control them but the least we can do is try to understand them.

Dreams are an art and those who study them have come to master it. We can't understand everything but the least that we can do it try.

"Hey! What happened to me teeth? And everything else about dreams you didn't know who to ask" will be held on Thursday, February 9 in Warren Auditorium in Ives Hall.

The doors open at 8pm and is free to all that attend.

Presented by The Scene, Associated Students Productions and the Student Union, for more information call 707-664-2382.
