Trevor Howell had three home runs in as many games last weekend.

The baseball team continued their dominance over San Francisco State on Saturday by winning both ends of a double header.

The first game, a 22-0 drubbing, saw the Seawolves bang out 19 hits while surrendering only six. Tyrese McDaniel and Konrad Thieme each hit home runs, Vance Otake added a grand slam, and Matt Means came away with the victory.

The second game, a much closer affair, still resulted in a 6-3 victory. Nick O'Brien was the winning pitcher with Trevor Howell and Ian Bridges each going deep to seal the deal.

Sunday's game was much of the same against Patten University with Howell hitting two more bombs, Kyle Jones hitting one of his own, and Derek Harms connecting for a grand slam. Troy Brown made his debut as a Seawolf on the mound while Rashaad Tucker recorded the win.

Saturday's basketball action was not quite as successful for SSU as both the men's and women's teams fell to the Tritons of UCSD in San Diego. The women were on the wrong end of a 72-59 score and the men suffered the same fate in an 82-61 loss.

Lauren Redfield's 20 points led the women while Steve Cornett's 20 point, 10 rebound performance led the way for the men.

Softball started their weekend series against Monterey Bay on the right foot by winning 6-3 behind the pitching of Simone Brandelise and a two-run home run by Dani Lopez. The Seawolves lost the back end of Friday's doubleheader in a 6-5 defeat. Their woes continued on Saturday as they struggled mightily at the plate dropping both games 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.

University of the Pacific slipped past SSU water polo on Saturday afternoon with an 8-7 victory. Lysa Lombard collected six saves for the Seawolves.

Men's and Women's tennis each lost their matches against UOP and San Jose State University.
