It would seem this war has been raging on since the beginning of time itself. Despite the battles won or lost, a peaceful resolution does not seem to be coming about any time soon. Console gamers fiercely defend their consistent, lag-free gaming environment all the while gripping their controllers with extreme ferocity. In the other camp, the PC gamers are smirking while they play online games free of subscription payments and gleefully mod(ify) their games utilizing the latest hardware. Both sides maintain their pros and cons, but which is teh_pwnage?!

Consoles offer something that will forever scorn PC gamers; uniformity and consistency. A console gamer has everything simplified. Updates are automatically downloaded and everybody is guaranteed to be running the same game, on the same hardware. Everybody is on an even playing field. A console gamer can simply turn on his console, login and play. They will also never have to run Windows which is a most definite advantage. Consoles do not have to worry about viruses or background programs popping up and ruining your pwn fest. The only problems that plague these gamers are a laggy network and a significant other nagging them to do something meaningful with their lives. In short, consoles are simple and reliable.

Consoles have another huge advantage over PC gaming. They are much cheaper than an equally powerful computer. While you can buy a console for $400 that will produce sexy graphics at a smooth frame rate, a PC that offers the same power and lust worthy visuals will drive you at least $1,000. Although as innovation drives PC hardware forward the gap gets thinner, the console will maintain this advantage for the duration of its operational life. In the end, consoles are durable, cheap and easy to use.

PC gamers reading this are more than likely on the verge of pulling their hair out of their skulls. Fear not my friends! This article is not over yet. As for PC gaming, there is quite a bit more than meets the eye. PC gaming is not only vastly more customizable then console gaming, but always state of the art. You can easily upgrade a PC. The latest games and technology are always run on the PC before they hit consoles. To play games online you need no laughable paid subscription. You can add stuff to your game modding it and changing things as you please. You can make the graphics look better, or look worse for a smoother game.
