It's safe to say that there are plenty of crazy people on the Internet.

However, the wackiest seem to show their faces on the most popular video hosting site on the Web-YouTube.com.

Not only is the beautiful and melodramatic Chris Crocker continuing to pour his heart out in video blogs (search: Chris Crocker), but there is an abundance of other outrageous videos as well.

If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the disaster that is "Goddess Bunny", then consider yourself lucky.

The video is centered on a frail and unstable-looking person, attempting to tap dance in a leotard while holding a parasol (search: The Goddess Bunny).

Upon further investigation, the person seems to be a transsexual male. His legs are thin and weak because he was apparently stricken with polio at a young age.

Though polio is no laughing matter, the video has hit it big with over 1.1 million views.

It's also been featured on numerous gossip sites.

Much to my surprise, however, YouTube also breeds talented people.

It's true, you have to weed out all the lunatics, but there are several gems to be found amongst the nonsense.

I have an affinity for acoustic covers of rap or hip-hop songs, especially when they're done well.

Alejandro Manzano, the lead singer of an unsigned band called Boyce Avenue, first caught my ear when he sang an acoustic version of Rhianna's "Umbrella".

His smooth voice coupled with soft guitar licks make it hard to believe that he, and his band, isn't signed.

Since then, he's done numerous other covers of popular hip-hop songs like Chris Brown's "With You" and Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" (search: Boyceavenue).

YouTube not only features musicians, but filmmakers and artists as well.

I have found numerous independent and over-shadowed films through the web site.

I stuffed half my Netflix queue with movies I've discovered on YouTube.
